  2. Locking and Unlocking the Rulers

  4. To prevent the zero point of the rulers from being moved, you can lock the rulers.

  6. Step 1
  7. Choose Rulers, Grid & Guides from the View menu.
  8.  
  9. Step 2
  10. Click the check box labeled Lock under the Rulers heading in the Rulers, Grid & Guides dialog, then click OK.

  12. Step 3
  13. To unlock the rulers, click the Lock check box in the dialog again, then click OK.
